Jessica & Matthew celebrated their wedding day at one of my favorite venues in Milwaukee, The Wisconsin Club! I can still remember Jessica emailing me sharing her engagement story and crossing my fingers that they would choose me to capture their day.

In her words, “The proposal was amazing. He had created a fake invitation to an event at Atwater Park that some organization was putting on (also made up). It was a sunrise picnic at Atwater, featuring Blooming Lotus Bakery (my favorite allergy-friendly bakery!). I agreed to go as I am an early bird. My sister had been planning to hang out with me the night before and have a girls night, which I now know was completely for the purpose of making sure my nails were painted and I had a good outfit for the next day. Matt picked me up early the next morning, we went to the park and down to the beach. It wasn’t until we got to the bottom that I noticed a table set at the end of the boardwalk for two. It was beautifully set with place settings, a lantern with flowers, and champagne. We sat down and he read me a beautiful letter about how much I meant to him, then asked me to stand up and look in the basket next to the table. Inside the basket was a note telling me to turn around and when I did, he was down on one knee with the ring. I said yes and the rest is history!” 

Their wedding day was no different! A lot of attention to detail, but more importantly, it was full of love & joy. Thank you two for allowing me to document your love story!
