Kirsten & Jon / Plant No. Four Wedding

May 7, 2021

Hello again! It’s been a while since I have blogged a wedding, and I am so excited to begin again. I am going to be doing things a little bit differently, as a way to simplify the blogging process (mostly in my mind haha). Instead of blogging every aspect of the day, I am going to be blogging my favorites from wedding days. Cheers to the 2021 wedding season, celebrating our incredibly patient and deserving couples, and highlighting the amazing vendors that make photographing these events so dang gorgeous!

I couldn’t be more excited to begin blogging again, and this wedding is a magical one to begin with. Kirsten and Jon were originally a couple from my 2020 season, but COVID had other ideas. They choose to postpone and as their MOH said in her speech, they went from a 35 day count down to 365 day count down. As we all saw this year time flies, & before long we were celebrating their new wedding date, May 1, 2021! We arrived to The Kimpton and met the ladies, who were getting glammed up by Melody Sopa Artistry and Lexi Lee Hair. After champagne toasts and lots of laughter (theses girls are a FUN time!) we headed to Black Swan Plant No. Four and had Kirsten & Jon’s first look. During their first look, they read private letters to each other. There were tears, lots of them (and not just from our couple!) Following their letters, as our spunky bride, Kirsten put it, they did the damn thing! These two had a beautiful ceremony, designed by the ladies at Feisty Flowers, in front of their closest friends and family. AGAIN, there were tears, lots of them, and definitely not just from  Kirsten and Jon. Heather Farr Events, Sound by Design & Yield Bakehouse kept the afterparty going with groovy tunes, the sweetest toasts, and obviously some yummy cake! As mentioned above, I’m only sharing my favorites, well, lets just say I had a LOT of favorites from this one!
